NPD Specification and Packaging Technologist

The Company

This iconic manufacturer in the chilled sector produces a wide range of innovative food products for the UK major retailers. Focused on driving product innovation and quality in its category, they are now looking for a dedicated Specifications and Artwork Technologist to join their NPD team.

The Role

Reporting to the NPD Manager, you’ll manage the raw materials specifications and evaluation of materials throughout the manufacturing chain for suitability. You’ll be responsible for all artwork and packaging approval, this will include communication between the customer and suppliers. Working with the purchasing team you’ll assist in sourcing new raw materials in line with the group initiatives. You’ll also be generating quality attribute sheets, benchmark documentation and factory format specifications.

The Person

Suit an experienced Specifications Technologist who has a food science or technology degree who is seeking a new challenge with a leading food manufacturer. You need to have up to date knowledge of meat labelling and food legislative guidelines, experience of working with raw material specifications, exposure to artwork and packaging suppliers. This role requires you to manage multiple assignments and priorities appropriately coupled with flawless communication and a team-player attitude.
