NPD Manager - Saudi

ROLE IS IN SAUDI 

Reporting to the Factory Manager you will overall responsibility for developing recipes (International, European and Arabic), sourcing ingredients, performing sensory analysis, preparing ingredient, allergen for a newly constructed $40M, 10,000 square metre frozen ready meal factory
They are looking for experience in chilled and frozen experiences. Someone who has managed multiple accounts at a time and preferably with the retailers.

The Role

•Your responsibility would include but not limited to manage the NPD function, prioritising the workload to ensure delivery of all projects within the agreed timescales. 
•Develop, manage and lead the NPD team to ensure personal and business development objectives are met
•Co-operate and communicate closely with Production, Commercial, Technical and Finance to ensure the effective and efficient running of the NPD process
•Initiate and undertake market research to identify market niches and opportunities  
•Set agenda for steering group meetings 
•Present Product brief to steering group for approval before commencement of any development work
•Complete initial ‘kitchen’ recipe development and product costing to check commercial viability.
•Pro-actively develop and manage the NPD critical paths to ensure all launches are progressing in line with agreed time and commercial schedules. 
•Ensure corrective action taken if required and key personnel informed of any unresolved issues.
•Review current product recipes to improve customer acceptability and profitability.
•Build and maintain highly effective relationships with existing and new customers to maximise 

The Candidate

•The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent with a Food science or Food technology degree 
•Have minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Chilled or frozen food NPD
•Experience working in partnership with the major multiples and credibility in delivering innovative products 
•Sound understanding of the NPD process from concept through sourcing, factory trials, and launch
•People management – the experience of managing a small team

Salary at the present exchange rate is £50k tax free a year. Housing allowance is two months’ salary, a car and one flight a year
