Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Inspector - from £35,043 + benefits

We have exciting opportunities for GDP Inspectors, ideal for QA professionals in industry who would love to work for a globally recognised Regulatory Agency.

With circa 1300 staff based in two main locations and peripatetically across the UK and abroad, we enhance and improve the health of millions of people every day through the effective regulation of medicines and medical devices.

Our GDP Inspectors play a key role in reducing risk and assuring the quality of medicinal products for patients by performing inspections at a wide range of sites in the UK, assessing the compliance of organisations with their legal obligations. The successful candidate will organise and conduct inspections at wholesale dealer sites ensuring medicinal products are sourced, stored and distributed in compliance with EU GDP guidelines and, crucially, safe for patient consumption.

In addition, you will report on inspections, use inspection outputs to identify a risk rating for sites, support the continued development of the GMP/GDP Inspectorate quality system and network with staff across the Agency and other regulatory bodies within the UK, wider EU and Internationally. You will provide advice to stakeholders, progress training and development in other areas of GXP and in relevant scientific, professional and administrative matters and train other Inspectors to meet current and future needs.

You will be educated to Degree level or hold a relevant professional qualification, but even more important will be your track record of success in a GDP environment or in an environment related to the holding and/or distribution of temperature sensitive products.

With an in depth knowledge of GDP or other controlled distribution systems and a clear demonstrable understanding of quality systems including quality risk management principles and the auditing of quality systems, our ideal candidate will also have the ability to analyse information and data, identify pertinent issues and prioritise and communicate them. In addition you will be a decision maker, take responsibility for your own workload and the achievement of results, be a strong communicator, highly organized and efficient.

These roles are predominantly home based, with occasional visits to our offices in Canary Wharf, London.

Closing date: 28th September 2018 (shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an assessment centre at Wyboston Lakes in Bedfordshire on 14th-15th November 2018).

Contract length: 2 year fixed term
