Multi Skilled Engineer / Fresh Produce / North Yorkshire

The Company:

Our client is a family run fresh produce business who specialise in growing, storing, buying and selling potatoes. Originally supplying local chefs with specially selected produce, as the business has grown over the years, so has their customer base. This now includes independent and multiple retailers, wholesale markets and food processors.

The Role:

Our client is looking to hire a Multi-Skilled Engineer, preferably with a mechanical bias. Due to the nature of the job, a candidate must have a problem solving attitude and hands on approach in everything that they do. Direct experience working with fresh produce or maintaining food manufacturing equipment is a bonus, however our client is willing to take on someone with less knowledge in this area if they have the right level of willingness to learn.

The chosen Multi-Skilled Engineer will be part of a 4-man Engineering team, working Monday - Friday days, with the possibility of working the occasional Saturday, therefore flexibility is a must.

Candidate specification:

If you are a diligent, proactive and enthusiastic Multi-Skilled Engineer who is looking to join an ever-growing business, then our client wants to hear from you! In this job it is also essential that you have a good understanding of PPM, PLC and Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to aid you in this fast paced environment.
