The company

Managing a portfolio of high profile blue-chip customers with the highest expectations for quality and service, the business are market leaders in product development in a growing industry and co-manufacturer for some of the UK’s largest brands.

The job

Working in a newly built, modern manufacturing facility, you will be managing a team of 75-100 employees including supervisors, skilled team leaders and machine operators, being the vital link between management, production, warehousing and logistics.

You will be involved with the planning, coordination and overall control of the manufacturing processes for multiple production lines from raw ingredient and labour supply to logistics deadlines whilst ensuring an efficient, cost effective, high quality, safe and timely production process.

A key element of this role is the focus on culture and cultivating a positive working environment, leading by example, encouraging ownership and responsibility, setting clear objectives and promoting achievements whilst continually improve efficiency. The role offers clear progression into a senior management position.

Your experience

To be considered for the Site Production Manager job, you will possess demonstrable experience of leading production operations within a fast-paced food factory environment. You will possess good working knowledge of H&S, NEBOSH, IOSH, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and BRC. You will possess natural leadership skills, have a track record of developing and empowering staff members and be passionate about driving operational improvement.

The Site Production Manager’s job is based in the Yorkshire region and is paying £30,000 - £40,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus excellent benefits including pension, childcare vouchers, performance related bonuses, social events, on site canteen plus training, development and progression opportunities.

The standard shifts are Monday to Friday 6/2-2/10 with occasional nights and weekend shifts in peak season. Your standard hours will be 40 hours Monday to Friday to be agreed.
