The Company:



An industry leader in packaging, production art and labelling, they boast a century and a half of experience in this kind of production and an array of global clients. Their clients include the biggest players in the food industry and other industries.



The Role:



Reporting to the Regional Quality Assurance Manager and European Account Director, and working within a dynamic team of 25 colleagues dedicated to a single client, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, overseeing and developing QA/ QC processes, maintaining and developing standard operating procedures and creating consistency in the artwork creation process. Specifically you will:

• Manage and deliver development of quality practices
• Improve internal and external quality, non-conformance and customer complaints against target objectives
• Perform internal audits and actively participate and support client audits, develop the capacity to deliver external client audits
• Ensure that production facilities are audit ready and in compliance
• Review procedures, policies and processes, report, recommend and implement continuous improvements
• Promote a culture of quality and efficiency
• Log customer complaints and support the production managers in the investigation process via root cause analysis
• Control and manage quality system documents (procedures, systems, instructions) in accordance with business and accreditation requirements
• Drive certification efforts to comply with universally recognised standards; ISO, GMP etc.

The Candidate:



The right candidate will have a strong personality and be excited about the prospect of travelling to the US and China once a year to present to clients.



Essential requirements are,

• Strong written and presentation skills
• A clear understanding of the requirements of GMP and its application
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience of managing brand/packaging/labelling/food production teams within a manufacturing environment

Desired characteristics include,

• Knowledge of ISO
• Knowledge of Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing
• Knowledge of GMP
• Knowledge of pre-media and creative services
