Sales Support Manager, Daventry, Northamptonshire

We are a world leading, innovative formulations and manufacturing company based in Daventry, Northamptonshire in the United Kingdom. Our products provide effective solutions to many issues in the amenity, sports turf, agricultural, horticultural and forestry markets. Our products are used throughout Europe, North America and the Far East.

Role's purpose:

To undertake sales support management and marketing duties as part of the Commercial Sales Team and to assist with general office activities, including supporting the company's sales activities with product management for our agricultural, industrial and amenity customers.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • To interface with all aspects of customer contact with regards to Product requirements etc.
  • Ensure that the manufacturing and logistics team have a clear understanding of its customer needs and expectations.
  • Assist with label design and content in coordination with production and technical team.
  • Providing, label copies, MSDS sheets etc to customers as requested.
  • Proof reading label text and obtaining customers agreement to label quality and accuracy.
  • Manage and update customer label database.
  • Manage customer orders and pricing in co-ordination with Commercial team
  • Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation including familiarity with label hazard classifications.

Knowledge/Skills and Experience:

 

  • A minimum of two years' experience working in sales orientated role, in a similar environment.
  • Attention to detail and numerate to ensure administrative procedures are followed according to customer requirements and company specifications.
  • Effective communication skills that allows the individual to communicate internally and externally, at all levels on a regular basis regarding customer requirements and queries, relevant legislation, company policy and procedures etc
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan and prioritise workload in order to meet required deadlines and performance standards. To include planning ability to achieve long and medium term business objectives.
  • Advanced level of IT skills i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working towards improving and maintaining quality standards such as ISO.

Required Qualifications/Certificates: (have or be prepared to work towards)

 

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent standard - preferably in Marketing
  • Certificate in Management Studies or equivalent management qualification
  • The attainment of a foundation level management qualification. Is desirable.
