A brand new role, with no history and a real blank canvass, this is a great opportunity for you - a discerning Planner - to make your job your own.

Our client is a growing business, growing so fast that it needs to bring in an experienced Head of Planning who can take some of the load off the senior manager of the department.

You will be part of an operation that supplies high end, short shelf life products to blue chip, household clients. If we were to attempt to get across the style of this business in one word it would be "Pace".

This is, without doubt, a fast-paced environment. You will be comfortable with working to a very fast moving schedule. Orders change at the last minute and and staffing demands are a movable feast. Factor this in with a highly automated environment where some of the kit could end up out of order for some or part of a shift then you can picture the need to have an adaptable, unflappable personality.

This is an excellent chance to take on a position where you will be the second in command of a large team. Think of what that level of responsibility will look like on your CV, not to mention the buzz you will feel on those occasions where you are the one in charge.

It goes without saying that you will already be in a senior Planning role - including experience of Capacity Planning and Balancing if at all possible.
