Our client, based in Staffordshire is looking to add a NPD Manager which will report into the Head of Development

Job Purpose
Lead a team of Product Developers to deliver customer product ranges in line with agreed brand guidelines, critical path timelines, and within defined commercial margins.

Context
-Office based role with some travel, mainly within UK & Europe
-Market – Food & Retail
-Consumer and market focused
-High quality speciality product – luxury consumables
-Team leadership role – mixed team of product and design specialists

Accountabilities

1. Lead & develop a creative product development team
2. Maintain an extensive knowledge of the marketplace, product trends, and design and development best practice
3. Develop, review, and manage all CD product ranges to ensure commercial performance in line with budget
4. Review the procurement and supply of products, components, and packaging, to identify opportunities for range development and commercial advantage
5. Achieve target margins in line with product costings
6. Ensure that all CD and consumer ranges are created and managed in line with the specified CD brand guidelines

Skills

1. Significant experience in product development/ or product buying activities  Product costing in commercial environment  Key account management including customer and suppliers  Team leadership Supplier sourcing and analysis  Creative package & design options
