SUPPLY CHAIN VACANCY

PRODUCTION PLANNER – Ashford

(includes 6 month probation)

Monday to Friday 07:30 – 15:45 (with some flexibility)

We are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join the Supply Chain Team to be responsible for planning Ashford produced items and maintain high customer service levels whilst continually looking to reduce cost and waste.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the role involves:

• Help to support the day to day running of the Ashford Supply Chain team.
• Deputise for the Supply Chain Manager when needed.
• Manage Customer Service for site and help drive “World Class Performance”
• Build relationships with internal factory contacts: other planners, factory management, other factory functions e.g. QA, Finance & Logistics.
• Represent Supply Chain on cross-functional project teams as required.
• Producing accurate weekly production plans
• Preparing and presenting 4 week plans
• Calculate optimum stock holdings
• Monitoring potential or actual out of stock situations and taking appropriate actions
• Produce data for monthly supply chain reviews

 The ideal candidate for the role will:

• Have extensive knowledge of production planning in a manufacturing environment
• Able to work under pressure and on own initiative
• Have a high level of IT literacy (fully conversant with MS Excel) and have relevant SAP knowledge
• High standard of mathematical skills
• Good level of presentation skills
