Maintenance Engineer

We have a fantastic opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer to join a large food business based in Leicestershire.

We are working with a highly-competitive food manufacturer who pride themselves on customer satisfaction and their diverse range of delicious products.

Due to continued success, they are looking for a mechanically biased engineer to join the team.

Reporting directly into the engineering team leader, your overall responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the plant, plant items and utilities.

Key responsibilities will include:

*To ensure plant is maintained in safe working condition, to legal and environmental standards.
*To deliver planned maintenance programme as scheduled.
*To minimise downtime by reacting to breakdowns in an efficient and timely manner.
*To suggest and trial new technologies to continuously improve the plant.
*To maintain effective communication between engineering and other departments.

The following skills and experience would be advantageous to your application:

*Qualified to City and Guilds or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
*Experience carrying out and recording planned maintenance.
*Recent experience working in a fast paced environment.
