Job Details

Eden Scott’s client is a well-established food processing company based in Scottish Borders.

Operating within a rapidly changing environment, an opportunity has become available for a Production Planning Manager.

Reporting to the Site Operations Director, key responsibilities are:

To produce and communicate all plans ensuring plans are understood by all stakeholders

To establish and communicate clear planning rules, ensuring that all relevant people adhere to them

To forecast orders versus capacity (total, by SKU, by line etc), applying forecast accuracy knowledge and line capabilities, produce the aligned plans

To understand and apply Supply Chain best practice including Planning / Scheduling systems, Stock control and actively contribute to the S&OP process

To develop, direct, coach/train, support and empower your direct reports to fulfil and improve upon the duties of their day to day planning roles

Manage staff levels against production requirements, managing holidays to ensure all areas are adequately staffed at all times.

Ideal candidate:

Experience in a planning leadership and management role preferably in the Food Industry

Highly IT literate, excellent spread sheet skills and capable of being the ERP champion

Good all-rounder who understands planning best practice, supply chain and the application of Continuous Improvement

Excellent presenter and communicator at all levels with the interpersonal skills to build productive internal and external relationships

Leadership and management skills to direct, manage and coach

Full Driving Licence
