We've got a fantastic opportunity for a Production Operations Manager at our Wakefield Bakery manufacturing site. Every week across all 8 production lines we produce 4 million individual loaves, baguettes, rolls, muffins, pitta, pancakes and crumpets.  We deliver over 200 trailers of products to our 8 depots on a weekly basis. You will be responsible for our bread, baguette, rolls and muffin plants, essentially half of our unit output.

Reporting to the Head of Bakery you will you will take full responsibility for the day to day running of all operational production areas within the bakery, ensuring the Health & Safety of all colleagues whilst maintaining and making improvements in all areas. You will be responsible for maintaining a balanced scorecard against KPIs to drive further growth across the site, to ensure we deliver great quality, in time, in full every time.You will need to have a clear focus on yield in order to help maximise profits and will take a driven and focused approach to our Daily Review Meeting system to drive performance improvement.

You will work with our current teams to drive the Continuous Improvement Strategy and Productivity, through our pmr processes, colleague involvement and engagement.

About You

You will currently be working as a Production Manager/Operations Manager, or equivalent, within a fast-paced production environment. We would love for you to have a proven track record in an operational management role in particular delivering results, with a strong emphasis on leading, motivating and developing. Experience in leading and coaching managers to drive forward results and step change operational performance would also be a great advantage, and would be in line with the expectations of our current managers.

You will have a good working knowledge of the tools and techniques of Continuous Improvement and how to integrate them into a business.
