This is a challenging and rewarding role working for a family-owned business which has been established for over 60 years. The business specialises in growing, packing and distributing a variety of products for major supermarkets as well as independent retailers, wholesalers and foodservice.
The HR Advisor will work with the HR Manager and HR Administrator to provide HR support for circa 500+ colleagues, across the 3 business functions including production, transport and agriculture.
You will support the HR Manager and provide cover in their absence, manage employee relations caseloads, give advice to employees and managers on HR policy and best practice, assist with recruitment and interview processes, update HR policies in line with employment legislation, chairing meetings relating to both HR and payroll and identify new initiatives for cost savings.
You will have some HR related experience together with ER (Employee Relations) and also knowledge of T&A, HR System or Sage Payroll. You will be partly/qualified or wanting to work towards CIPD and the company are happy to support and pay for this training. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent relationship skills plus be IT literate including Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
The HR Advisor / Assistant job is based in the North West region and is paying a competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm.
