Operations Manager

Job title: Operations Manager
Location: Norfolk
Salary: circa £45,000pa

Our client is a leading food business that supply's the major retailers across a variety of product categories. This business is focussed on delivering a world class manufacturing environment ensuring its products are of the highest quality, but it also cares about its people, their development and success. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Operations Manager to oversee part of their operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
*Overall responsibility at for the operations and delivering margin.
*Support the teams in achieving daily, weekly and monthly targets in the areas of Safety, Volume, Cost, Quality, Planning and Human Resources.
*Schedule and allocate work to the team to ensure full utilisation and ensure all lines are correctly manned to meet capacity plan.
*Work with the team to ensure that training needs are identified and addressed
*Lead / facilitate problem solving and improvement groups and initiatives.
*Ensuring Quality, waste and efficiency targets are met by working as an integral part of the manufacturing team. Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times by Engineers and Operators.
*Work to identify and nurture talent and evolve a team succession plan.

REQUIREMENTS
*Essential experience within a senior operations/manufacturing/production role within a food manufacturing business
*Proven experience of motivating and developing teams
*Understanding of lean methodologies and track record of CI success.
*Excellent communication skills
*Hardworking and flexible
