Are you looking for a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain some experience with various food products, have exposure to auditing as well as working in a head office environment?
Are you flexible to travel between two sites?

Main Responsibilities:
A Quality champion for all products through carrying out inspection and testing of food products, reporting results and trends to the team and suppliers.
Providing a responsive resource at depot to monitor standards, identify and escalate issues and respond to customer needs.
Inspection of products at Wellingborough depot and supplier facilities.
Driving system compliance of product specifications and quality specifications
Being a key team member to ensure compliance and drive standards.
Lead quality panels with suppliers.
Supporting the implantation and management of key quality reports.
GMP audits of 3rd party distributors including satellite storage facilities.
Recording and reporting results of inspections and audit activity for action by the team
Key contact for clients QA issues at depot. 
Provision of on-site crisis support in the event of a Food Safety Alert/Incident, supporting with data gathering and managing corrective actions.

Key Skills Required:
A passion for food and quality
Flexibility to work out of 2 main bases
Experience of using online specification databases
Attention to detail
Level 2 Food Safety/HACCP qualification desirable
Full Driving License
Ability to Manage time and work autonomously without supervision
Willingness to taste food of all food types (this includes meat products)
Demonstrate a positive and committed attitude
The role involves working in ambient, chilled and cold store environments
