Process & Specifications Technologist
Part of a major group, our client is keen to bring on board a skilled technologist with expertise NPD process as well as the corresponding specifications skill-set. As a major supplier of chilled and processed products to the major retailer sector, this organisation values its technical diligence, but also its manufacturing innovation in a CI environment, and always strives to appoint skilled and ambitious individuals to their teams.
The role will revolve around delivering new products into a factory environment, scaling them to full scale, and ensuring that all NPD is completed with all technical and process verification at full customer and group satisfaction. It will entail a lot of factory work, cooperating with other teams to achieve a busy work schedule, as well as liaison with technical experts within the business, and on line to ensure paperwork is correct.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for introducing new products to the factory and conducting scale-ups and launches Seeking ways to improve existing products and processes within the factory Demonstrating innovation in packaging development and improvement Completing NPD related specifications Contributing to finished product specifications and artwork
Key Attributes
- Experienced with process development in a food processing and added value environment Understanding of major retailer technical standards and NPD critical paths Experience with specification platforms, and specification writing Demonstrable team working and collaborative approach to work Food science degree or equivalent, or time-served within food manufacturing
This role would suit an individual who seeks to extend the use of their multiple areas of expertise, giving continued exposure to the technical office and technical procedures, whilst being heartily involved in the day to day functions of the factory, innovation and manufacturing teams.
