Fruit Towers - London

Supply Chain

innocent started with a simple mission: to make drinks that make it easy to do yourself some good. In 1999 we concocted a few smoothies in our kitchen and tested them on people at a music festival; today we’re blending every type of fruit & veg under the sun and selling drinks right across Europe. We have great ambitions: to show the world that you can build a successful business that cares about more than just profit, and to leave things better than we find them. We’re proud to call ourselves Europe’s favourite little healthy drinks company, but we’re still growing. And that means we need more brilliant people who share our ambition, to join in with the next, most exciting, part of our story.

what you'll be doing

As a Packaging Technologist you’ll get to cover all areas of development; one day you can be working on the latest design of our smoothie bottles to deliver the best packaging on shelf and then you could be saving thousands of pounds a year by improving the way that our packaging is delivered across all of our production sites in Europe.

You will be responsible for:

  • ensuring all innocent packaging is safe and legal and that we maintain our due diligence defence
  • monitoring the quality of our finished products and packaging to ensure that it’s always to the standard that we expect
  • delivering innovative packaging solutions for NPD projects and ensuring that they meet the needs of the supply chain as well as the consumer

you'll have

The right person for this role will have a proven understanding of packaging materials, structural design and print processes. Experience in food contact material approval and legislation would be a great advantage. You’ll also be capable of taking technical subjects and explaining them in a way that can be understood by non-technical stakeholders. An ability to identify and manage risk, contingency & mitigation for projects and quality is essential.

You'll be a natural at building strong relationships with the team here at Fruit Towers and externally too, and you’ll be someone who is confident presenting in front of others and representing innocent at external events.

We’re looking for someone who already has an understanding of different packaging materials and how the materials and design can affect the end result.

You’re probably already in a packaging or technical role and you’re looking to take the next step in your career. You’re aiming for more responsibility in a company that’s growing rapidly across Europe and you have the capability to demonstrate that you are able to make the difference that we need.

You can also show a passion for sustainability and recognise that the role is essential in being able to drive the company forward in that area. The packaging team is a small part of a bigger supply chain so you’re ready for a level of responsibility that matches your potential.

you'll get

You’ll be an integral part of the supply chain team and get to work right across the business with our finance, marketing and logistics teams to name but a few.   You will be championing our packaging for innocent, continuing to make us Europe’s favourite little juice company. This is a real opportunity to be able to see your work on supermarket shelves all across Europe.   You’ll have a high degree of autonomy within your team and the wider technical community as you’ll be the expert in your area.   You’ll get the ability to (literally) shape the future of our drinks as we continue to expand

As well as the standard stuff you get for turning up for work, we have some great clubs, a free breakfast and as many smoothies as you can shake a stick at.

Does this sound like you? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

*Dolly Parton may have worked Nine to Five but you don’t have to. We’re all about being healthy and happy here at innocent so we’re open to a chat about flexible working. No promises, but we reckon that if it's good for you, then it's good for us.

Company

We want to create a business we can be proud of. So to make this happen, we need brilliant people who inspire and deliver change all around them. That's why we're always looking for talented, ambitious and altruistic folks to come and join us.

We think it's a great place to work and are lucky enough to have been nominated for a few awards to that effect. We've also won a few too, including the Times 100 Best Companies to Work For award, which sits proudly on our mantelpiece.

But if you don't have time to pop round and inspect our awards cabinet, why not watch this little film to see the people who work here tell it like it is.
