Job title: Logistics Team Leader
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Continental 3's and 2's
A large client of ours in the FMCG sector is now recruiting for Logistics Shift Leader to join the company. Reporting into the Logistics Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the control of all goods coming into and leaving the site while managing the day to day logistics. It will be fast-paced and challenging but also very rewarding.
*Manage and control stock through liaison with the planning and MRP team.
*Training and development of logistics team including training on system changes and upgrades.
*Manage the daily communications between logistics team and other functions building strong working relationships.
*Drive stock levels to required level and report issues in a timely manner.
*Manage stock levels on FG, Materials and Packaging.
*Develop and control appropriate Kanban levels with operations teams
*Deputise for Logistics Manager when required.
*Plan holiday schedules and supply cover when required.
*Attend daily site meetings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a in a leadership role within Logistics. They will be able to adapt to changes within the business so will need to have great problem solving skills. The candidate will be able to communicate effectively with the rest of the Logistics team and develop strong relationships across all functions. It is also expected of the successful candidate that they have strong knowledge of logistics and related IT systems.
