Customers include all the major multiples along with food service organizations, quick serve restaurants and the major well known coffee houses.

The CSM UK head office is in the Wirral with other production facilities throughout the UK. The total annual turnover for the UK business is in excess of £200 million.


To co-ordinate, manage and liaise with the relevant accounts to retain, grow and develop business at a profitable level. Gain strategic partnerships within accounts with the ability to profitably grow these accounts through a market and category driven, NPD and innovative approach that achieves growth of NSV and GP of Account portfolio. This role is a great opportunity to join CSM and develop into strong condidate for promotion within 1 to 2 years of joining. 


Manage the relationship between customers day to day. Establish strong relationships where customer has high degree of trust in the business Support  NAMs in creating and obtaining agreement to annual account plans and JBPs for NAMs’ Key customers Receive brief from the customer and manage the brief from concept through to launch. Liaise with NPD, marketing, technical and supply chain to ensure new products meet customer requirements and fit CSM’s strategy and commercial requirement Taking a category management approach, identify and thoroughly research gaps in customers’ ranges. Foster support internally and with customers for business development idea Analyse volume and profit by SKU to identify underperforming lines and take action to understand why products are underperforming and what corrective can be taken to rectify the performance. Also, identify lines which are over performing and again seek to understand why Work with customer to deliver accurate forecasting by SKU for budgetary and supply chain purpose Build strong relationships internally and seek to understand the pressures and impact commercial decisions have on other departments Provide additional support to the team as required, for example analysing and reporting on current sales and marketing information; conducting competitor analysis and benchmarking exercises; support on costings and collating samples as required Analysis of retail EPOS data and presentation and recommendation of data to category managers and account manager Support commercial team on promotional analysis Analyse and interpret retail sales data as required - provide summary report to NAM/Channel Director on analysis Respond to broader general customer and account team requests as required. E.g. customer samples, delivery.  


General:  Account/Project Management. Knowledge of Retail and Foodservice, market awareness, data analysis and application of market data, process and product understanding. Ability to manage a multitude of different priorities (internal & external and work to timescales, manage projects and lead people. Numerate. Operate in a highly volatile market with major competitors, with customers demanding high standards of service, category management, NPD management and support. Potential and ability to move into a future NAM role I.T Skills: Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Spreadsheets Analysis: Use of NPD project management tools (Vivid), market data tools ie Kantar, EPOS data. Education/Exp:  Experience in building and maintaining relationships with key Retail & Foodservice accounts Travel: Overnight stay and travel may be needed for customer and site visits
