Based in the UK, our client is a fast growing, dynamic and forward thinking trading business operating internationally across various food products. Now seeking to expand further, the business is looking a high calibre individual to join the business to forge new opportunities in new markets.

Responsibilities

• Build sustainable supply chains between overseas ingredient suppliers and European food manufacturers

• Grow profitable business by mastering costs of logistics, finance and profit margin

• Build collaborative relationships with overseas suppliers who meet their Quality Assurance matrix and help us intelligently anticipate future price movements

• Gain trust of existing & new customers to help them plan their procurement smartly based on the business’ global market intelligence

• Participate in New Product Development and New Customer Development

• To build a strong performing trading desk and eventually build a team for a defined product range

Requirements & Skill

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant involvement in food ingredients imports
• Strong relationship management skills
• High level of commercial acumen
• Positive outlook and a high level of self-drive
