Logistics and Planning Manager, Taw Valley, Devon

Create the future

The site employs around 120 people, operating 24 hours per day, approximately 355 days/yr and produces award winning Cheese, Whey, Cream, Butter, WPC and Powder. You will drive and develop improvements in efficiencies in the planning and scheduling on site along with the site management team to assist and promote through continuous improvement and enhanced performance in line with the Company's strategy and Must Win Battles.

You will ensure continuous and active development of strong working operational knowledge across the Planning and Logistics function, promoting shared understanding and best practices. You will constantly review operations and highlight and drive improvement along with creating strategic and operational business modelling delivered on fact-based criteria through bespoke software packages.

The role will be also responsible for bulk cheese stock management, liquid product scheduling, retail cheese profile controls, cheese grading and third party storage.

You Are
The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience in a Supply Chain discipline, ideally gained within in a food manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone who gets the best out of others, who will lead, coach, motivate and inspire people to perform on a day-to-day basis. Above all, you will strive to drive improvement at all times by taking an innovative, creative approach and using your imagination to develop ways of making things better. You will work both independently and as part of a team and therefore should have the ability to work in an analytical and structured manner, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work with minimal supervision and taking responsibility for organising personal workloads.
