Our client is one of the leaders and specialists in the production of ornamental horticulture, and due to continued expansion they are now looking for a talented stock controller to join the team.

The role will be the main point of contact between the producer and the customers for the management and control of stock in the supply chain. There will be a daily and forward review of sales v forecast – any variations communicated and resolved to ensure wastage is minimized within the supply chain and retail orders are fulfilled.

Keeping waste to a minimum is key to this role, therefore you must be able to challenge the growing teams on the level of forward stocks and then suggesting corrective actions in order to minimise waste and maximise sales. You will be reconciling the stock throughout the supply chain, communicating any issues as and when they occur.

As always in a role like this, it will be balancing stock so that orders are met and yet wastage is kept to a minimum.

The role is therefore a challenge and we need someone who is organised, accurate and yet has strong communication skills. Ideally of a graduate calibre, it is likely that you are working in a stock control or logistics role in a fast moving fresh food or consumer goods business.
