We've got an exciting opportunity for an experienced Food Manufacturing Manager to lead the team on the day shift at our Production facility in Spalding, Lincolnshire.

As Manufacturing Manager you will direct the end to end manufacturing function (People, Process and Product) that delivers the required KPI's across the night shift which then enables the delivery of Manufacturing Unit operational objectives.

Main responsibilities

As Manufacturing Manager you will implement the end to end manufacturing plan in order to achieve the Productivity Objectives. You will contribute to business planning ensuring costs are aligned with business requirement and agreed budget. 

You will monitor and take corrective action to ensure that labour and materials are being utilised in cost efficient processes which delivers product to manufacturing food safety and customer standards and you will highlight bottleneck processes and take mitigating action that will deliver labour/waste targets. 

It is key that you provide inspirational leadership and direction to the operational community to ensure that people are kept safe engaged, focused and delivering to their potential. 

Your time will be split approx 30% on Production Performance, 30% on Business Improvement, 20% on SHE and 20% on People Management and Development

Ideal candidate
  • Previous experience of leading manufacturing teams in the chilled food industry.  
  • Previous experience of working with customers 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Capability to plan and implement initiatives in a complex organisation
  • Sound knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies and systems planning
  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certified 
  • Level Three Health and Safety - IOSH
  • Legionella Duty Holder Awareness as Deputy
