They are looking to strengthen their senior team with a talented Senior Project Engineer to lead several key projects and a variety of initiatives across the business. The Candidate:
We're looking for a high calibre Senior Project Engineer, ideally engineering degree qualified or equivalent. You will have extensive experience of managing multi-million pound capital projects ideally in a food manufacturing or FMCG production environment.
As a successful Senior Project Engineer you will have delivered projects from business case justification through to commissioning and factory handover. You will have worked in an environment where Lean Manufacturing is key.
You will be able to demonstrate significant budgetary management experience coupled with strong negotiating skills. You will have a working knowledge of CDM and be highly experienced in Contractor and Equipment Selection.
You will have a track record of implementation of new equipment and processes improving business performance.
Commercially astute, proven budgetary control skills and good IT literacy are essential such as Excel, Powerpoint and Planner
Your communication skills must be well developed as you will have to demonstrate your experience of strong working relationships, at all levels across all functions.
A focused individual, you will have an inspiring leadership style, embrace change and can deliver under pressure
The Role:
You will report to the Engineering Manager, your role is to manage the large capital expenditure investment programme from business case justification through to successful commissioning and performance to standard. Liaising with local planning authorities and manage planning application processes.
Identifying suitable suppliers and equipment for investment and managing competitive tenders and negations with suppliers in conjunction with the Purchasing Team.
Managing the construction and installation and commissioning of new projects safely, in a food safe manner in a live working factory environment. Ensuring all procured plant and equipment is fit for purpose, meets statutory Health and Safety requirements and complies with site engineering standards.
Compile all necessary project files, records and reference manuals for new equipment to demonstrate statutory compliance and to provide necessary information for future maintenance reference.
