You have the chance to join a growing FMCG company that are continuing to invest in new, automated equipment. As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be working closely with the Site Manager as they continue to invest in new equipment & new people.

Description
As the Lead Electrical Engineer you will be part of an established, multi-skilled engineering team working on electro-mechanical equipment. You will be an instrumental in ensuring continued efficiency improvement through PPM initiatives, fault resolution & asset uptime.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead a small team of engineers in electrical & mechanical fault finding
- Maintain effective communication with all relevant departments regarding progress on repairs and maintenance requests
- Liaise with operations team to ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to
- Ensure all items of plant operate efficiently and safely through proactive and reactive maintenance
- Provide support and engineering expertise to the site operation through implementation of proactive planned preventative maintenance
- Accountable for the performance and availability of your working areas, utilising reporting facilities to proactively identify and correct repetitive issues
- Carry out all engineering disciplines using best Health and Safety and engineering practices
- Identify opportunities of improvement that will benefit the system function in terms of performance, hygiene, safety, efficiency and provide a cost benefit
- Identify learnings from tasks undertaken that will improve on breakdown recovery, efficiency and implement the necessary process to ensure minimum downtime
- All plant is maintained in accordance with the approved maintenance schedules and training provided
- Ensure all engineering targets are achieved
THIS IS A DAYS BASED ROLE
Profile
An Electrically biased Engineer with experience working on liquid processing equipment. The successful applicant will have:
- Formally recognised engineering qualifications/training (ONC, HNC, time served etc.)
- Extensive fault finding experience in an automated, liquid processing, FMCG environment (e.g. king filler, vacuum filler & tube filling machines)
- Ideally an understanding/familiarity with PLC systems
- An understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques
- The ability to work independently and make informed, firm decisions
- The ability to work under pressure
- The ability to lead a team
