You will need to be able to work at both a strategic and operational level, to identify and deliver sourcing projects and category management. Then, working with the wider procurement team, look for opportunities to leverage the company’s vast scale across the business, managing a sizable spend for your category.
One of the key areas for the role is the ability to manage stakeholders across a complex business, spread across a number of manufacturing sites both in the UK and abroad.
You’ll probably have 3-5 years of buying experience in the FMCG sector. You’ll be used to working at pace and you would now like your career progression to match – this company can give you that opportunity quickly.
Ideally, you’ll have some experience of buying raw materials and you will definitely be able to communicate with open dialogue demonstrating an ability to flex your approach with a culturally diverse set of stakeholders.
