The company

A position has arisen for a Technical Officer working for a dynamic food business which manufactures innovative, high end products. They work with their customers to develop a great tasting product range and have a great reputation for supply of retailer brand, working very closely with leading retail multiples and food manufacturers.

The job

The purpose of your role is to provide technical food safety and quality support to the company, liaising with both suppliers/ customers on technical requirements and ensure the product is compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

You will report into the Technical Manager and work with a select number of retailer and business to business manufacturing accounts, ensuring product specifications are created and updated, critical paths are adhered to, analysis such as nutritional and micro shelf life testing is complete and meets specifications, complaints are investigated and artwork is approved in line with legislation.

Your experience

Educated to a degree level or equivalent, you will have solid technical experience from within the food manufacturing industry together with knowledge of writing retailer and B2B product specifications plus understanding of EU & UK food legislation. You will be methodical, have high attention to detail and a full UK valid driving licence is preferred.

More details

The Technical Officer job is based in the Home Counties / South Central region and is paying up to £25,000. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
