This is an exciting position working for an independently owned chilled food manufacturer. The company import and process products from all over Europe and are dedicated to creating products to the highest technical standards from their purpose-built facility.

The job

As Production / Maintenance Engineer, you will troubleshoot breakdowns across a range of equipment to provide minimal downtime, support Machine Minders and Production to facilitate production efficiency, maintain documentation to provide historical records of breakdowns and PPMs, adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and practice, ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe, legal & clean state to enable high care food production, maintain all equipment to minimise breakdowns and delays plus ensure the fabric of the building is maintained.

Your experience

To be considered for the Production / Maintenance Engineer role, you will be a qualified Engineer with hands-on skills and knowledge of electrics, mechanics, plumbing, general building and decorating. You will work well in a team and independently, be able to organise your own workload and have high attention to detail. Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

The Production / Maintenance Engineer job is based in the South Central / Home Counties region and is paying £25,000 - £28,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are 42.5 per week, Monday to Friday, however, flexibility may be required.
