Arla currently has vacancy for a Multiskilled Engineer at our Settle Dairy on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Settle is a 24/7 site with c150 people producing UHT milk for UK and Export markets. The site is currently experiencing growth and as such we are looking for a high calibre candidate to help drive the site's performance through this exciting period.

...this multi skilled engineering role is not only about proactively maintaining equipment but also developing continuous improvement teams and leading/facilitating these through a number of lean manufacturing areas to deliver improvements across the Dairy. This will include the delivery of planned/predictive engineering maintenance across all production lines & process areas, continuous improvement facilitation of cross-functional teams, using a combination of tools & techniques such as TPM, RCM, FMEA, 5'S and Kaizen events etc, and identification and implementation of improvement ideas to achieve world-class standards relating to OEE, quality and H&S measurements across the facility.

...we are looking for candidates with previous experience of working in an automated FMCG manufacturing environment as a Multi Skilled Engineer. Having completed a recognised time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline or an ONC/NVQ level 3 qualification you will have knowledge of manufacturing, process and filling operations. Experience of working with PLCs is required with experience in Siemens S7 advantageous.

This role is a shift based role covering days, nights and weekends on a rotating basis.
