Our client is looking for an Assistant Technical Manager to join their busy fast paced environment manufacturing a selection of popular products going into major retailers.

A key member amongst the Technical and Quality department, the successful candidate will need to be a team player, ensure that all elements of the technical, quality, customer and legal requirements are met. All food safety aspects are covered including audits, effective management and maintenance of the of the QMS and HACCP systems, deliver continuous improvement in all aspects of the site manufacturing operations and that implementations and changes are followed up and completed in an accurate and timely fashion.

The ideal candidate for the role will have a Technical and Quality background in the UK Food Manufacturing industry, managerial experience as well as retailer exposure, well versed with BRC, effective communication skills and a proven track record of delivering successful audits.

The key responsibilities include:
Management of the Quality Management Systems
Good working knowledge of specifications, raw materials, internal auditing and GMP's
All aspects of food safety are met from development to launch
Documentation is accurate and up to date
Maintaining the full auditing system
Support, develop and management of the technical team including assistance the operation team
Solid and effective technical support to the customers.

The role will suit an enthusiastic, well organised candidate with good attention to detail who displays strong leadership skills, team and customer management experience and effective communicate skills with all levels across on site.
