Job Details

We are seeking a Health, Safety and Hygiene Manager to contribute to the continued success of our client’s fast growing food manufacturing business, based in West Sussex.  In this varied and hands on role you will be responsible for managing the Hygiene team as well as all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment across the site.

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Providing advice / guidance on company policy relating to Health, Safety & Environmental matters
  • Coordinating the implementation and development of H&S Systems, Procedures and Training
  • Reviewing the company HSE policy in light of any legislative or organisational changes
  • Managing the Hygiene Team
  • Planning and coordinating all Hygiene operations on site
  • Providing training across both Hygiene and Health & Safety

Experience required for the role includes:

  • A strong knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation
  • Experience managing a Hygiene Team within a food manufacturing environment
  • Solid Health, Safety and Environment experience
  • An ability to communicate clearly and persuasively both internally and externally
  • Experience interpreting safety legislation, making recommendations and presenting findings
  • NEBOSH Qualification - highly beneficial
