Are you a good communicator? Can you build a rapport with people? Does selling come naturally to you? If so, maybe you would be interested in this role in the fresh produce industry.

About Our Client:

Our client is an established business who have steadily grown to become a leading name in the fresh produce industry. Their core customers include the wholesalers, caterers and processors within the UK. They have formed strong links with local growers, suppliers from further afield and customers. They have a tremendous amount of knowledge within the business and are considered experts in the fresh produce sector.

About the Role:

Essentially this role is all about commercial wins and helping the business grow. You will utilise your communication and rapport building skills to form lasting relationships with suppliers and customers. You will have an eye for opportunities and jump on any chances to help grow sales and the business. You won't be scared to pick up the phone and talk to customers to make a sale. Likewise you will be comfortable calling potential new customers to open new doors. In order to succeed in this role you will be tenacious and have a can-do attitude. The fresh produce industry offers a rewarding career path for those who are willing to work hard and think on their feet to solve problems quickly.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have some sales experience, be a good rapport builder and be willing to learn about fresh produce to drive their career forwards. You will be able to problem solve and sometimes think outside of the box to create solutions. You will be a strong team player and be willing to go the extra mile to help the business grow. You will be a strong negotiator; someone who can get the deal done whilst maintaining some margin to make the business profitable.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, as a minimum you will be a strong negotiator, have a great can-do attitude and be willing to learn and develop your skills to progress. A general interest in food/produce and where it comes from would also be a big plus.

Salary:

In return for your hard work and can-do approach our client is looking to pay £18,000 - £22,000 with great career progression prospects and development.
