An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Site Materials Planner to join our dynamic and fast-paced Materials Team.
What does your typical day look like?
Sitting within the Site Supply Management Team this role provides an overview of all Business Supply, Demand and NPD and there will be considerable and frequent interaction with suppliers, project managers, marketing, site operations, site finance and more.
This is a key role within the business, where you will be responsible for driving a 99%+ service level of inbound materials to production through monitoring plant stocks, material requirements plans and bills of materials and generally create a "No Surprise" culture when issues arise. You will also be responsible for ordering of packaging and raw materials for site and placing delivery call offs to suppliers for all materials (packaging and ingredients).
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
You will have the ability to work under pressure, to tight timescales and be able to prioritise your workload accordingly. You will be numerate and an analytical thinker and have the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience of working collaboratively with suppliers, strong communication skills and the ability to interpret and format data. Previous experience within this type role is desirable, with strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and Power Point.
