As Engineering Manager you’ll lead the sites engineering activities to establish and maintain safe, compliant and effective engineering operations that continually develop and improve the site asset base through effective design, construction and installation of good manufacturing processes

You’ll drive the engineering function to provide good manufacturing processes that comply with both Food Safety and Health & Safety Standards, devising an engineering strategy which supports the manufacturing units strategic goals and is compliant with all company and legislative standards.  We will be looking for you to drive year on year improvements to deliver enhanced engineering standards aligned with our manufacturing unit objectives.

As engineering lead, you will provide leadership and direction to your team and play a key role in promoting a culture of continuous improvement, sharing best practice and enabling your team to deliver their potential through your demonstrable leadership, communication and people development skills.  Supporting your team to ensure are focused, engaged and striving to the highest of standards at all times.

You will proactively contribute to product development through the application of the best available technology and automation to create efficient and sustainable manufacturing process, whilst also promoting the sustainability agenda across the engineering community to reduce environmental impact at all times.

You’ll already have a proven record of leading an Engineering department and your strong leadership skills, will enable you to make an immediate impact, as well as providing a longer term contribution to the continuing development and success of the business.  You’ll already have the relevant Engineering qualifications in place at either HND or degree level.  Previous experience of working within manufacturing is essential, and a background with food manufacturing industry, would be preferred.  

You will have strong project management skills with experience of working within a Lean enterprise culture
