Maintenance Engineer, North Tawton, Devon
Do you want to be part of a value-added business where you can improve performance and results in a dedicated team? Then the position as Maintenance Engineer at Taw Valley is the one for you. The cheese department at Taw Valley produces approximately 110 tons of cheese per day, along with whey butter, whey protein and permeate powder. Our cheeses including cheddar, red Leicester, double Gloucester, organic, and reduced fat are supplied into supermarkets all over the UK along with our own brands Tickler, and Anchor. Other brands made within Arla include Cravendale and Lurpak.

You'll improve and maintain. And you'll work with the operators and team leaders to make sure our equipment can do everything they need it to do and making it a safe place to work.

The shift pattern is 4 days on and 4 days off with 12-hour shifts including days, nights and weekends. So, as well as the joy of avoiding rush hour commutes, you'll be able to fit your work around your lifestyle.

You are
A multiskilled engineer with FMCG manufacturing experience and a good understanding of LEAN techniques. You're used to working to professional and industry standards, and you're confident with both electrical and mechanical engineering. You're an excellent communicator too - able to work with others to deliver results and drive meaningful improvements. Importantly you also complete risk assessments and standard maintenance procedures to ensure that we are always up to date, which will keep our quality, safety, hygiene and housekeeping.
