NPD Technologist - Chilled

My client is a unique business selling their produce to the UK retailers. 
Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now looking for an NPD Technologist who will be involved in the effective management of development projects, from concept approval through to factory launch.  Working with cross-functional teams to implement development plans to cost and timescale and ensure customer and site expectations are met, ensuring conformance in terms of food quality, hygiene, safety, legality, and quality.  

Key Accountabilities 
•Be a key member of the commercial team.
•Customer facing 
•Ensure product/project documentation is accurate and up-to-date and in accordance with business procedures. As required product/project details are to be presented to site management and/or customers clearly and factually.  
•Organise and conduct factory and pre-production trials in accordance with the business procedure and as required by customers. Interface with customers will be mainly during such trials. Document all relevant information and produce trial reports. This work to be done in close conjunction with the Operational and Technical functions of the business.
•Provide Management Accounts details of yields and through-puts from factory trails. 
•Prepare and send out, as required by the business, product samples. Ensuring all samples have the relevant paperwork 
•Keep abreast of food trends within the food industry

Skills and Experience Required 
•Minimum HND in a food-related discipline

•Ability to interpret and evaluate numerical data
