Technical Manager

Eden Scott have a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established food manufacturing organisation based in Glasgow.

The purpose of the Technical Manager role is to plan, develop and implement techniques, processes and procedures for ensuring the desired level of quality for all products

Key responsibilities include:

• Motivate and develop direct and indirect reports
• Maintain and aid continuous improvement in the areas of QMS, HACCP and COSHH
• Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements
• Investigate and ensure adequate corrective/preventative action in response to complaints or quality incidents
• Undertake external auditing and supplier management
• Facilitate training of all staff in food handling, Hygiene and HACCP

Requirements

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (Food Science/Chemistry)
• Proven people management skills and experience
• Detailed understanding and proven capability in the areas of HACCP, BRC and good Manufacturing Practice
• Technical/Quality background gained in the food industry
• Excellent communication skills
