Senior Quality Manager - Yorkshire

This role will take full ownership of factory based technical and quality matters, leading the quality team, and with responsibility for quality, food safety and legality, as well as working closely and effectively with other functional leads to achieve site based technical, commercial and operational goals.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure the effective technical management and governance of all factory production Responsible for ensuring finished products are safe, legal and compliant with legislation and customer spec Leadership of the factory HACCP team and champion of customer standards relating to GMP, quality and hygiene Day to day management of major retailer customer relationships relating to quality, audit and compliance.

Key Attributes

• A number of years’ experience in Technical/quality or compliance leadership Extensive demonstrable success in implementing retailer standards and dealing directly with retailers. Extensive food manufacturing industry experience as well as a food science degree/HND or equivalent Able to make critical decisions and be self-supporting, whilst demonstrating good leadership attributes.

The role will suit an individual with a retailer supplying quality management background, or technical leadership within an SME who seeks the opportunity to develop their functional leadership skills within and large, major multiple supplying, food processing operation.
