Department Manager - Production
We’ve got a great job for a Department Manager to join our Thrapston manufacturing site. You will lead your team to successfully deliver your lines KPI’s and drive business performance.
Requirements of the Job
As a Department Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day to day running of the shift. You will coach, develop and lead your staff and establish a continuous improvement culture. You will work closely with internal and external suppliers and will build strong, effective relationships ensuring that the site is legally compliant. You will ensure that all levels of waste are recorded, and are accurate including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and potential efficiency; accuracy and waste recording; downtime; product weights; and staff efficiency.

You will have worked as a Department Manager or Shift Manager within a large scale production/warehouse operation, ideally across Food Manufacturing. You will have the ability to challenge decisions and behaviours to ensure consistency in service to our customers, and will demonstrate your ability to problem solve. We would love it if you have proven experience working as a strong leader, with the ability to build excellent relationships.
