Operational Excellence Manager

Our client, a blue chip international business is presently looking to recruit an Senior Lean Manufacturing Champion. This person will be creating and embedding a culture of Operational Excellence that enables our people to deliver targets whilst continuously improving the performance of the business.

Key Accountabilities

• Uses data for decision making based on analysis and evaluation Data driven advanced trouble shooting capability deployed when required Demonstrates advanced problem solving capability in high pressured environment Uses coaching and facilitating skills to influence positive change with the site Utilises Six Sigma black belt methodology to understand and improve processes Is a subject matter expert and demonstrates effective deployment of many operational excellence based tools and philosophies to include SMED, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, standard work deployment, RCA Can demonstrate excellent role modelling, coaching and supporting of end to end performance management system Effectively uses network benchmark information to drive improvement Drives and support the delivery of continuous improvement opportunities based of 8 wastes Uses JIT principles to drive out waste

Key attributes

• Highly experienced developing a CI culture Industrial, engineering or food science related degree or equivalent Qualified with Six Sigma, SMED or other recognised CI/Lean development organisation. Experience with people and projects management Can demonstrate a track record in successful business improvement in FMCG / food manufacturing environments. Can demonstrate a collaborative approach to business CI

The role will suit an individual who has expertise in CI and Lean manufacturing tools and behaviours, and seeks to promote improvement across all functional areas in the business, starting with the factory operation.
