Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for Quality Assurance and Food Safety Standards, management of the site HACCP programme and the ongoing development & Implementation of systems compatible with the requirements of the BRC Global Food Standard.
Main responsibilities include:
Monthly internal audits including glass and hard plastic and hygiene
Generating a Root Cause Analysis for non-conformances raised in internal audits
Support in the control of hold / disposals system
Review factory documentation for compliance
Generate customer C of A's and the review of supplier C of A's
Support external calibrations and supplier approvals
Support completion of finished product and internal specifications
Support in the control of the compliance status of suppliers
Control of sending samples to lab in order to ensure compliance
Interpretation of Microbiological Analysis sent back from lab

Ideally, you will be qualified in an appropriate Food or related subject discipline, supported by at least 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment. The company will supply appropriate training on the job to strengthen relevant skills.The position will suit an organised, self-motivated candidate, who has the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. Candidates must be computer literate with good written and verbal communication skills. An ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing are essential, together with interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationships. Pay rises will be given in line with specific achievements and progression of the job.
