Speedibake is a division of Associated British Foods (ABF), a diversified international food, ingredients and retail group with sales of £15.4 billion and 133,000 employees in 50 countries

Speedibake has bakery sites in Wakefield and Bradford specialising in own-label baked goods, we supply to a customer base across all channels; foodservice wholesalers, contract catering, end users, export and retail.

The role

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Supply Chain to lead our Supply Chain Team, based in West Yorkshire. Across our sites we manufacture muffins, garlic breads, Doughnuts, Speciality Breads and Mince Pies operating 24hrs a day up to 7 days per week.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this role is a key part of the Speedibake Leadership Team, and will get significant exposure at Board level.

As a great communicator you’ll work closely with our Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain Teams. You will also be responsible for leading 6 Direct Reports and have a track record of building strong, collaborative relationships with Customers, Suppliers and 3PL providers.

You will have an excellent understanding of S&OP systems and demonstrable experience of adding value to the business through process improvement programmes.

To be successful, you will:

  • Have 5yrs+ Senior Management level experience in a cost leadership FMCG environment

  • A proven track record of successfully managing change in behaviours and ways of working

  • Have experience of embedding new business ERP Systems

  • A clear passion for and experience of building and leading high performing teams.

  • Be customer focussed and able to engage stakeholders across all levels within Speedibake and ABF

  • Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
