Sales Manager, United Kingdom, Meat Industry, Food Manufacturing

In this role your goal will be to manage and develop customers in the meat segment. Reporting to the Area Lead, the main objective is to develop the technical and commercial offer to the customers while getting support from R&D and Marketing. You will be working from your home office in the United Kingdom.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Building up the sales argumentation on technical service at defined customers
  • Customer relationships with Purchasing, R&D and Marketing
  • Ensuring the quality of services through regular visits to customers (approximately 50% of time)
  • Executing sales strategies and marketing concepts for new products and technologies on customer level in the territory
  • Supporting the customers to improve their production process
  • Acquiring new business as specified in the target agreements/budgets (sales plan)
  • Monitoring and analysing the activity of competitors and other changes on the market that may affect the company's market position and growth strategy
  • Regular visits of relevant fairs
  • Negotiation of prices
  • Accountable to achieve budget
  • Evaluating performance of customers / Improving KPI at certain customers

The Ideal Candidate

 

  • Excellent knowledge of functional ingredients in the meat segment
  • Industry experience in sales and/ or technical support in the meat processing industry
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Food Science, Food Technology or related degree
  • Passion for driving sales results, flexible and customer oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 25% - 40%) primarily in the UK and potentially in Northern European countries
