The company

The company is part of a quality chilled foods group supplying to a number of the major retailers including Tesco, Waitrose and Morrison’s. The business makes a wide range of chilled foods in well-invested sites that give its staff the facilities and environment to produce food to the highest quality and food safety standards.

The job

Your role as Production Manager is to own and drive delivery of operational KPIs through effective people engagement and to effectively manage all aspects of the production area to ensure optimum operational performance.

You will also ensure the company meets health, safety, environmental and quality obligations both in compliance with legislation and to company standards plus identify, own and project manage process improvements and capital initiatives through to completion.

Your experience

We are seeking a committed and positive individual with previous production team leading experience within the food manufacturing industry and looking to take a step up in your career. You will be commercially aware, have a strong commitment towards people, quality and profit plus be performance and results driven. Experience with chilled, prepared foods would be a benefit and lean/continuous improvement knowledge would also be an advantage.

More details

The Production Manager job is based in the East Midlands region and is paying £45,000 - £50,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Sunday (AM shift), then Monday to Thursday (PM shift).
