The job

As a Sous Chef you would be responsible for running the whole kitchen in the absence of Head Chef. Your primary job would also include training, supervising and coaching Junior Chefs to ensure they are working effectively and that food production standards are met.

Responsibilities will include ordering and controlling stock for the entire kitchen, be responsible for a team of 8 to 9 Chefs and be in charge of hitting the GP margin each month.

Your experience

This position would require a responsible individual with good attention to detail and strong organisational skills. You would have completed a verifiable culinary certification or apprenticeship plus possess strong progressive food preparation experience in a quality-oriented, high-volume environment such as hotels, restaurants or cruise ships. You will be able to read, interpret, demonstrate and execute all basic meat, fish, sauce and side dish recipes and ideally have experience training and supervising a team.

The Sous Chef job is based in Warwickshire region and is paying up to £26,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are 48 hours per week across a roster including weekends.
