QA Technologist

The Company

A traditional company with a modern approach, built over 4 generations who supply chilled products to leading retailers and wholesalers. They are seeking a hands on Quality Technologist to support with new growth and high ambitions.

The Role

Reporting to the MD you will be a key member of the business in this newly created role, with the responsibilities developing as the company expands. You will manage the BRC accreditation and HACCP, customer technical site visits and ensure the safety and quality of all products. You will need to provide guidance and support to the team, making sure they are fully conversant with site processes, in line with quality and hygiene requirements as well as the overall technical strategy. You will also work closely with the factory manager supporting in daily operations, whilst driving change and performance improvement across the site.

The Person

Suit a Quality Professional with a food science or related degree who is looking for a career development opportunity with a small, ambitious, supportive and quality driven business. Experience of working in a fast paced chilled / high care manufacturing environment and understanding the standards of UK retailers is essential. This is a factory based role so you must thrive in the energy and pace of this style of positon, interacting with all departments as well as customers.

You’ll need experience of working with quality systems, BRC / HACCP, implementing procedures and keeping product quality at top of your agenda. Experience within a high risk product sector would be a distinct advantage.
