Project Manager

Avara is a new company formed in 2018 through a joint venture between Cargill and Faccenda Foods built on decades of experience. As an ambitious new company our business calls for sharp skills, innovation and fresh perspectives. With so much going on, there has never been a more exciting time to join.

As a result of our joint venture we have an exciting, newly created role for an experienced Project Manager to join our transformation team. You will be working in the transformation team led by our transformation director to support and drive our 5 year transformation change programme.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and the overall goals of the company.

Main responsibility for the Project Manager will be to manage the project lifecycles as follows:

  • Project initiation and planning
  • Project delivery and control
  • Project reporting and administration
  • Project Closure

As a Project Manager, you will have experience in a similar role within a FMCG environment with a proven record of accomplishment in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management. You will have both theoretical and practical project management knowledge.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels with the organisation. The project manager will be required to make quick decisions and therefore you must have the ability to work well under pressure and be able to problem solve.
