Due to growth, this leading company are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support their expansive customer base. Whilst this role will be based in Leicestershire, you will be covering multiple sites.

Description

As the Field Service Engineer you will be facilitating the correct design & safe installation of equipment. You will be allocated projects working with end users at a range of UK manufacturing sites where products are used. These projects entail the selection of appropriate equipment for the users requirements, ensuring the installation of the equipment meets Health & Safety requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Determining design requirements of new mechanical services or modifications to existing mechanical services that enable manufacturing processes or facilities
• Specification development to ensure customer requirements are understood and achieved
• Installation planning and management
• Auditing and condition reports on mechanical services
• Delivering feasibility studies on plant & equipment
• Commissioning, documentation and handover
• Manage mechanical contractors on sites
• Working as part of a multi-disciplined project team or independently to specify, control and monitor the mechanical services design
• Development of project scope, specification, calculation, diagrams, programme and estimated cost
• Supplier selection & order placement in line with company requirements
• Design reviews and acceptance testing
• Schedule management and installation supervision
• Communicate with all stakeholders including face to face at UK sites
• Supporting the wider engineering organisation to provide technical excellence in the field of mechanical services

Profile

A Field Service Engineer/Mechanical Engineer with field service experience in a regulated or FMCG environment & the following:

• Proven technical ability and experience in Mechanical Services
• Experience in the specifying, installing and commissioning of mechanical services for facilities, including Building Management Systems
• Knowledge of BSRIA/CIBSE guidelines and National Standards
• Knowledge of health and safety and legislated requirements
• Knowledge of Building regulations and environmental requirements
• Good interpersonal, organisational and project management skills
• Ability to integrate into the team and to work closely with customer groups and suppliers to agree scope and specifications
• To develop quotations, place orders and manage delivery/installation/validation of equipment on time and within budget
• Is willing to travel to all UK sites, they may be occasional overnight stays
• Has a full UK driving licence
• Excellent safety record

Job Offer

Circa £30 - £40 per hour + Travel Expenses
