Our Company is a well recognised leading manufacturer of pastry products such as pies , sausage roles, tarts etc. Due to recent expansion plans we are seeking to appoint the right individual to lead the production facility with both existing and new products that will be launched into retail and foodservice channels across Australia.
The job
Working as a key part of a talented management team, as Production Manager, you will work closely with the team to ensure that the manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently and to help deliver new lines for the company as well as working to improve and maintain the existing products.

This is an ideal role for an established and confident Bakery Production Manager with extensive experience in the large scale production of bakery products who is seeking their next challenge.
We are seeking a, talented and self-motivated individual who understands pastry and its rheology. You must be keen to work in a fast-paced and growing Company where you can really showcase your ability to problem solve using your technical abilities and experience. Exceptional organisational and efficiency skills are required together with a strong focus on lean manufacturing processes.
There is great scope for this role to evolve to a senior level due to the business’s continuous investment and growth and therefore will be suitable for a person who will be hands on determined and passionate to make a difference.
Responsibilities (will include but is not limited to)
- To oversee the whole of the production process
- Planning and organising production schedules and agreeing delivery timescales with clients and managers
- Plan, organise and control KPI’s i.e. down time, labour costs, waste, ingredients and packaging.
- Determining product quality standards of both new and existing products
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are met.
- Organising relevant staff training and on-boarding of new staff
- Review, analyse and report on specific projects in a scientific manner
